Our Founder
Trinsic was founded by Bessie, a serial entrepreneur with a background in building wellness brands. She knows the beauty industry inside out — but the idea for Trinsic came from something personal.
For seven years, Bessie was hooked on prostaglandin-based lash serums. They worked — her lashes were long, full, and dramatic — but the side effects were constant. Redness, irritation, darkening around her eyelids. She tried to stop multiple times, but every time she quit, her eyelashes would fall out. Not gradually — noticeably. So she'd go back to the prostaglandin serum, her lashes would recover, and the cycle would start again. Seven years of knowing the product was causing problems but feeling like she couldn't stop without losing her lashes entirely. It's a cycle more people are stuck in than anyone talks about.
What changed everything was watching her mother go through chemotherapy. Her mum lost all of her eyelashes and eyebrows during treatment — and anyone who's been through that, or watched someone go through it, knows it's about so much more than vanity. Losing your lashes and brows changes the way you see yourself in the mirror. It takes something from you at a time when you're already losing so much.
Bessie wanted to help her mum regrow her lashes and brows after treatment, but every serum she looked at was either loaded with prostaglandins — completely unsuitable for someone whose body had just been through chemo — or so gentle it didn't actually do anything.
That gap in the market became the mission: create a lash and brow serum that delivers real, visible results without prostaglandins, without irritation, and safe enough for even the most sensitive skin. A formula that someone recovering from chemotherapy could use with confidence — and that anyone else could use without worrying about what it was doing to their eyes.
That's how Trinsic was born.
